My Artist Statement

I am greatly drawn to fantasy environments in my art. I love how they can be explored by the audience rather than just the characters that may inhabit that space. I want to showcase a magical landscape that would guide people to revisit their childhood sense of wonder. I have come to experience, as we grow into adulthood, the mindset of prioritizing the needs of the “real world” tends to creep in and dim the excitement that life has to offer. This type of thinking muddies up our vision to see and feel the adventure that awaits us. My goal is to create a unique window for people to get lost in for a brief moment, and escape from the stresses of daily life. I am continuously exploring different mediums such as miniature making, painting, collages, and more in order to best create my vision.
